Coven Nemorensis is a service oriented Eclectic Coven located in Sonoma County, Northern California, founded in the year 2000.

We provide a safe haven for Pagans of varied Paths where they may practice their belief systems in a nourishing atmosphere, exchange technique and wisdom, enjoy camaraderie, and worship the Divine according to Pagan customs.

Coven Nemorensis offers several services to the community, including Rites of Passage,   bi-monthly Open Meetings, welcoming Seekers and new Pagans, and other events.

Joining The Coven

Initiation into Coven Nemorensis is through invitation only. A potential candidate will meet with the Coven at Open Meetings, Sabbats and other events so we can all become familiar with each other over time and in varying circumstances to establish if our goals are common and our personalities and energies harmonize well. The Coven has been very successful using this method. Many Covens, Circles and Groups quickly fall by the wayside because of personality conflicts, power struggles, and lack of personal commitment.  

If a person qualifies as a candidate, the Coven must pass a unanimous vote to approve Sponsorship. If the candidate is approved unanimously, they will receive a Sponsor who will guide them through all phases of initiation. The Sponsor is responsible for the Initiate throughout their life in the Coven.

Coven Nemorensis disregards any Initiate's previous affiliations with any Covens, Circles or Groups. Regardless of degrees bestowed by other organizations, length of time on the Path or body of knowledge, all Initiates must traverse the Five Levels of Initiation in Coven Nemorensis starting at the First Level.
